Days 15-19: Disney World Survival Stories

June 17, 2018 by Dave 3 Comments

Disney was a surprise for Claire, though she claims she thought we might be going at some point.    She had no idea what was in store for her, and quite frankly neither did we.  I’m not sure most people want to read a run down of our activities, so here are a list of our favorites things and fun musings.  Otherwise, just enjoy the slide show.

  • Total Days: 4
  • Total Parks: 4
  • Mid Day Naps: 3
  • First Ride: Space Mountain – Claire proves to be hooked on Roller coasters.  Dad is Proud.
  • Total Steps :66,462.  Miles walked 33.6.  (Per Dave’s Garmin).  Total Aching feet: 6
  • Surprise winner of least amount of Complaining: Claire
  • Princesses met: too many, not enough… depends on who you ask.
  • Best Fire works show: Epcot, but we only brought the camera to the one at Magic Kingdom.
  • Best Pro Move:  Arriving an hour before opening at Animal Kingdom and being the first in line for the Pandora:Flight of Passage ride that normally has a 2-3 hour wait.  For the next hour I guess everyone else in the park was in line, because we had our choice of the other rides.
  • Favorite Park: Animal Kingdom (general consensus)
  • Latest Night: 11:00 pm, but only Dave and Claire made it.  Annie is a quitter 🙂
  • Earliest Arrival: 7:05 AM
  • Claire’s Favorite thing:  Cinderella’s Royal Dinner in the Castle.
  • Dad’s least favorite part: the 3 oz pour of wine at Cinderalla’s Royal Dinner.
  • Favorite Ride: Claire- Expedition Everest roller coaster,  Annie – Soarin, Dave – Pandora Flight of Passage
  • Planned return to Disney World: never 🙂 LOL

We are now in the Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral area recovering for a day or two and visiting the Kennedy Space Center.  We decided to forgo the Everglades and take our time here.  We really did have a great time.  It was 4 exhausting days that were packed full of activities.   We’d like to give a special shout out to Jill Dalton at Storybook World Travel she helped us plan out how to use our time.  Her services were included with booking though her, and I would never consider doing it any other way.  She gave invaluable advice. If you are planning a trip shoot her an email (jill@storybookworldtravel.com)
